In news that should come as a surprise to abs💫olutely no one, app developer Rovio has announced that it will be producing an animated series based on its ridiculously successfull Angry Birds game franchise.
The move to the small screen is part of Rovio's overall marketing strategy which kicked into full gear last year and has already given birth to Angry Bird board games, stuffed animals and iPhone accessories. According Rovio's CEO, Mika♚el Hed, the studio had pegged Angry Birds for a movie or show early on, but only recently has it been able to evaluate the market and confidently move forward with the project.
