Nowadays it's easy to pick up a PS5 console or bundle in Australia, whether you're after the standalone disc or digital version, but getting them cheaper than RRP can sometimes be a challenge. That may prove especially true in light of Sony's recent PS5 price hike in Australia: effective immediately, the new RRP for PS5 in Australia is AU$829.95 for the disc edition,💖 and AU$749.95 for the digital edition.

While that price hike was announced in mid-April, it took a couple of weeks for retailers to react. From the vantage point of May, though, most retailers are offering the standalone editions of PS5 consoles for their full RRPs. The PS5 Pro hasn't received a similar price hike, but remains very expensive at AU$1,199.
