A new (and final?) trailer for the Justin Lin directed film has found its way online teasing a ton of action, a troubled Kirk, and the destruction of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Again.

The trailer is soundtracked by Rihanna's 'Sledgehammer', and it works a lot better with this Star Trek footage than the Beastie Boys did with the first trailer. That's partially because this trailer is much more melancholic than anything we've seen thus far, and that comes from its focus on Chris Pine's Kirk. I'm really curious about how they're setting up that arc; Tying the Captain's inner conflღict back to his father (hello Chris Hemsworth!) in the first film is an interesting move that will hopefully lead to a satisfying payoff.
Directed by Justin Lin and starring Idris Elba, Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary ꧃Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and Anton Yelchin, Star Trek Beyond warps into UK and US cinemas on July 22, 2016.
