The GTA 5 Dodo seaplane may not be the most attractive or technically impressive mode of transport, but it does open up fresh options when it comes to crossing the wide expanses you need to cover during the course of the game. Because the Dodo is capable of taking off and landing on water in GTA 5, you don't need to go searching for a dedicated runway (or at least a wide road) to touch down on, though yoꦰu are somewhat restricted to the coast or a lake for your destination. It's also a fun nod to the Dodo p⛦lane originally seen in GTA 3, so there's some history and nostalgia attached to it as well. If you want to unlock this classic seaplane then here's how to get the Dodo in GTA 5, and where to find and buy it once it's unlocked.
How to unlock the Dodo Seaplane
Before you can find the GTA 5 Dodo seaplane, you'll need to complete a mission with Trevor called Nervous Ron first, which will unlock the Dodo as ཧa random spawn at a coup🌄le of locations.
The Random Event is found in the sea cove east oജf Ron Alternatives Wind Farm. You'll need to approach on a boat or sea faring vehicl🐎e to trigger the event - jet skis are available from the beach a little further down the coast to the south.
Once th🐠e marker appears, head into the cove and shoot the gunmen in the boats before hopping into the Dodo.
As you leave the area, two more boats full of gunmen will attack, but you can simply fly away and leave them behind. Once completed, the Dodo seaplane will spawn in꧒ the following two locations:
At the dock on the small Vinewood Hills lake.
At the dock to the north of the Alamo Sea.
Ther☂e’s also the option to buy the Dodo f🐓rom the Elitas Travel website for a cool $500,000 once you’ve completed the Random Event.
