Chatting with Simon Mayo on Radio 5 Live, the director rev🦩ealed three chunks of actor info – confirming Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis (neither of them a shock as they’d pretty much been guaranteed to return) and adding that Hugo Weaving is now officially signed up.

So that means the proper Gollum, Gandalf anꦅd now Elf leader Elrond are all on board.
