We've not got a huge amount of info about what to expect tonight. We do know that it's not a full-blown PlayStation Showcase - those are Sony's real blo🧜ckbuster shows, and while State ofও Play broadcasts have their moments, they don't have quite the same weight of expectation around them. I think Sony's use of 'must-play' is different to the language it usually uses, so perhaps we're in store for a couple of interesting world premieres?

While PlayStation isn't exactly shouting from the rooftops about what to expect &nd♚ash; "a selection of great games from creators across the globe" is not illuminating – one big potential announcement that folks are chatting about is the long-rumored Final Fantasy Tactics remaster.

And this isn't even a clown makeup, out-of-thin-air situation! The game's original director, Yasumi Matsuno, retwওee🍒ted (and then deleted) the State of Play announcement. This on top of Bloomb🌄erg's Jason Schreier seemingly vaguepostin💧g about the game? Where's there's smoke...

An almost guaranteed appearance today would likely be Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. As the upcoming sequel from Hideo Kojima's Kojima ꦛProductions is set to release for the PS5 later this month on June 26, it really does feel like it'd be an easy way for PlayStation to extend the State of Play's runtime. What could Kojima possibly show? Who knows! It's a sequel to Death Stranding; anything could happen.

Another likely participant in today's PlayStation State of Play? Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima followup, Ghost of Yotei. While it was revealed in April that the upcoming PS5 game is set to re♔lease later this year on October 2, there's still plenty we don't know about it. There's so much we don't know, in fact, that it's🍌 hard to know what we don't know.

When it comes to everything else, including potential big surprises, it does seem like Resident Evil 9 (or whatever the next Resident Evil ends up being called) is front of mind for some folks. We know 澳洲幸运5开🐠奖号码历史查𝕴询:there's a new Resident Evil in the works, and have for some time, but we've not actu🌞ally seen hide nor hair o🦩f it. Is today's PlayStation State of Play finally the time for Capcom to pull the curtain back?

Another "Shoot, maybe?" conten😼der this time around: some kind of God of War 2.5D Metroidvania spin-off. According to from the usual suspects, this might be on a smaller scale. Even so, I'd happily eat such a video game up. Bonus points if I get to hear Christopher Judge's voice again. Not long to wait to find out now as we're just an hour away from the PlayStation St🎉ate of Play kicking off in earnest!

45 minutes to go until it kicks off seems like a good time to ma📖ke my usual plea of "Sega, pl♏ease announce Valkyria Chronicles remasters." I'd even settle for VC3 finally getting an English release! OK, I've said my piece and gotten it out of my system.

Just under 30 minutes to go now! We're nearly there, folks. Still plenty of time to get a snack, take a bathroom break, and generally get your wits about you for what's set to be a fairly long P🐻layStꦜation State of Play.

We've moved to some kind of... strange game where people are eating around a table but then some guy has dꦍied and the "Dead Gear Life Suppor🅷t System" is used. Now he's Dead Man. In fact, the title seems to be Romeo Is Dead Man, maybe? The combat that's being shown now has a real No More Heroes vibe mixed with Dead Rising.

Romeo is a Dead Man, coming 2026. PS5. Some real Suda5𝕴1 vibes... and sure enough, it's a Grasshopper M🔯anufacture game.

Per Suda51, who is up now, Romeo is an FBI investigator that tracks down crimina𒊎ls across spacetime. Sure. The title raises questions like, why is Romeo a Dead Man, per Suda51. Sure does.

OK, this misshapen jointed creature is extremely gross. I do not like it. And also, it looks to be extremely as our girl is getting absolutely wrecked. And then, they're in cages? Maybe this i💜s all a dream of som✱e kind? Makes you think.

Holy cow, i🌟t's that 007 First Light game from IOI! Lots of discussion about how "Bond is a bullet without a target." First look at the man himself looks... so very young. If you've been imagining how the Hitman folks might do Bond, well, this does looks to be that with some slightly better animation. Sneaking around to take folks out, firefights, gadgets, big set pieces. And, of course, a car.

Pretty cinematic, if I do say so. Not sold on the look of this Bond, exactly, but I appreciate the attempt and also they've apparently hung him in chains over a bunch of gators so, y🍬ou know, they get it. Comi✨ng 2026. Gameplay reveal this summer.

As expected, this is from early in Bond's career before it's actually earned 00 status, apparentꦓly. "This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to share more soon," says IOI Interactive's CEO.

And now some kind of Marvel fighting game featuring dif🍒ferent Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man in a samurai outfit, Spider-Man, Star-Lord. From Arc System Wo🙈rks, so we trust.

Not quite an anime fighter, but certainly closer than most. If you told me this was Marvel vs. Capcom with꧅out Capcom, I'd probably believe you. 4v4 tag team battles!

Looks like there are "super🧸s" or similar that completely take over the screen. Also, itꦗ is very charming that they're all speaking in Japanese. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, coming to PS5 and PC in 2026.

And now, actual people🥀. We're in Yokohama, Japan. Apparently looking at how this all came about? PlayStation apparently approached Arc about making a Marvel fighting game. "When I heard that, I was truly stunned," says Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka.

Inspiration here came from pure fandom. Bringing Marvel back to the forefront of fighting games. PlayStation apparent🥂ly also brought this to Marvel, really making it all happen. "They couldn't make🏅 something boring if they tried."

Describe this as "a sacred genre f🔥rom Marvel" – which is true. Gotta go big and bold or it doesn't work. And, well, Arc System W☂orks is big and bold.

Apparently the team went back and told Arc System Works to show the game they really wanted to make. Which is how we ended up with the designs pushed in these interesting, unusual ways. "From Japan 🔥to the world" is apparently a mantra for the game. It certainly comes across!

4v4 is apparently also a d🎀ifference maker here. Apparently this doesn't require to learn four characters as there's a system where you can♌ either do a leader with three assists or tag into other characters. How, exactly, that works is unclear at this moment. But I sure will enjoy seeing this team try.

"We're still deep in development, but ꦬwe'll keep announcing new characters." Please do.
