Ocarina of Time 3D to include N64's deleted Master Quest

As if Zelda fans weren't already eager to lay down their money and/or lives for the forthcomingOcarina of Time 3DS remake, Nintendo is hedging its bets for retail success byin♓cluding the notorious Master Quest; an alternate playthrough mode originally cut fr꧂om the N64 version.

Operating in much the same fashion as theclassic Legen🎉d of Zelda's Second Quest, the Master Quest is a r♐e-mixedplaythrough of Ocarina of Time featuring redesigned dungeons, new challenges and a higher level of difficulty. Though sliced from the N64 release, it later surfaced on the GameCube as a pre-order incentive for Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

The news of its inclusion broke during a chat between Conservative New M♎edia and Nintendo's associate PR manager D✱avid Young, wherein Young likened the addition to having “two games in one.” He did not clarify if the Master Quest would be offerred as an unlockable mode or as an option available from the start.

Fast for🏅ward to 0:52 in the video below to catch the blink-and-✤you'll-miss-it announcement:

Anyone else g🥂et the sense Young immediately regretted dropping that particular nugget of information? Nintendo has yet to confirm the Master Quest's resurrection for Ocarina of Time 3D, but sincethe companyseems to be doing all it can to make the 3DS' version the definitive edition, thishas about a 99.96% chance of being true.

Ocarina of Time 3Dis ontrack to arrive later this year, li♉kely in 🅺the summer.
