PS3 peripherals priced

Sony of Japan has announced prices for PS3 peripherals, including the SIXAXIS controller - the new name for Sony's wireless, rumble-less DualShock replacement - as well as the US🍰B Memory Card adapter (used for transferring PS2 or PSone saved games to PS3's hard drive) and the console's remote control.

A new SIXAXIS controller - which can be used as either a wireless or a USB-connected controller - will set you back 5,000 yen (roughly $42). Sony states that the wireless controller will operate up to 30 hours on a ful🅠l charge, a similar length of time to Xbox 360's wireless 🐈pad.

The USB Memory Card adapter, meanwhile, will be priced at 1,500 yen (about $13), and the PS3 remote will run for 3,600 yen (or $31). No details on US prices have yet been announced, although a source at SCEA has told us the company is considering releasing information in response to the Japanese announcement. With the Novem🎀ber launch of the PS3 looming large, we expect to hear more real soon.
